Coffee has left East Timor – Europe next!

It's January, and after working for over a year on Konfiansa's first production, we're getting closer to our goal. On January 16th, a container is shipped from East Timor, with 30 of the over 300 bags of coffee in the tin cans bearing Konfiansa as both the addressee and the addressee.

1,800 kilos of coffee are expected to arrive in Norway at the end of March. Coffee from East Timor will then be pushed through all channels.

The road to the goal has been long. The photos below were taken by Jaime and Moises, both of whom have been volunteers at Konfiansa (and previously Kria dalan) for many years. They are now full-time employees at Konfiansa.

Coffee must go through a dry mill before it is exported. The pictures are from the transport from our warehouse to the mill.

This container contains 19.2 tons of coffee, of which 1800kg is going to Norway. The container is scheduled to arrive in Europe at the end of February.

After going through the mill, the coffee is packed in a tight plastic bag inside a jute bag.
